The society for Conservation Biology (SCB) is a global community of conservation professionals dedicated to advancing the science and practice of conserving Earth's biological diversity. The Tampa Chapter of SCB exists for the betterment of the University of Tampa (UT) campus and the Tampa Bay community as a whole. The chapter will promote conservation following the example set by the international SCB.

On the UT campus and in Tampa Bay, SCB hosts volunteer events such as cleanups and invasive species removals, as well as educational events and discussions. Each year, SCB runs Gasparilla Bead Recycling on the UT campus. Meetings are biweekly on Wednesdays at 8:30 pm in GHS 106.
