About Live Well
"Providing a forum of wellness initiatives to continually improve healthy behaviors based on a holistic well-being philosophy."
The University of Tampa has always put an emphasis on the health and well-being of its students. Live Well, a student-led organization, was formed to empower the UTampa community to improve healthy behaviors and lifestyles in themselves and others.
Live Well is based on a holistic well-being philosophy that addresses the community’s dynamic needs and all aspects of a balanced life by providing a wide array of services and education.
It also acts as the overarching “umbrella” for multiple wellness initiatives out of the Dickey Health and Wellness Center. We have weekly meetings on Fridays at 8:30 am in the Fitness Center VIP Room (2nd Floor).
Student Experiences
Former Live Well Student Coordinator
“The community of Live Well had taught me life skills that I had not learned anywhere else. The people I met through this program have become close friends. The staff and students involved helped me become a better me.”
Alex Hirsch, Former Personal Finance Coordinator / Web Developer
“I fell into Live Well through volunteering at the Wellness Center, and I could not have been happier to be a part of such a great organization. The students and faculty care deeply about the UTampa community and strive to help the campus, students, and outside community. Working in Live Well allowed me to meet some amazing people, including my best friend today. Additionally, working with the initiatives and attending events helped me learn how to grow and prepare for life after college.”
Erica Lauren Natal, Former Balance UT Coordinator
"Live Well is an incredible organization that helps students grow, be creative, and understand the importance of living a healthy balanced lifestyle; emotionally, mentally, and physically. Live Well is composed of a wonderful group of staff members and students that impact the UTampa campus in such a positive way, sharing great information and always welcoming anyone with open hearts and happy vibes. I am honored to say I was a part of such a kind and powerful organization during my college years; the experience and skills I gained through Live Well are still utilized in my post-grad life."
